Knitted booties for newborns
Knitted with cotton yarn in 2026, designed with love especially for the little ones at the gynecology and maternity ward in Strumica.
Knitted gifts for children with hematological and oncological conditions
Through our charity drives in 2019, 2021, and 2025, we knitted and donated hats, scarves, mittens, sweaters, toys and blankets for the brave little fighters at the University Clinic for Children’s Diseases in Skopje.
Crocheted octopuses for premature babies
Little crocheted octopuses that serve as therapeutic medical support, providing comfort and security inside the incubators. Through our charity drives in 2019, 2020, 2023 and 2025, these little octopuses were donated to premature babies at the neonatology department in Skopje, as well as the hospitals in Bitola and Prilep.
Knitted blankets for infants and toddlers in Bitola
Throughout 2024, the combined efforts of around 90 caring people created true magic with knitted toys, clothing and full blankets. Out of 141 blankets made, 105 were donated to the ‘Home for Infants and Toddlers’ in Bitola, while the remaining 36, along with warm hats, went to the little heroes at the ’11 October’ Children’s Home in Skopje.
Knitted sensory muffs for people with dementia
Throughout 2023, we knitted and donated special sensory muffs (Twiddle Muffs) designed for people living with dementia at the Specialized Hospital for Geriatric and Palliative Medicine ’13 November’ in Skopje.
Knitted winter wear for people experiencing homelessness
Through our charity drives in 2023 and 2024, we handmade over 500 warm items, including hats, scarves, slippers, gloves and other accessories. These pieces were personally delivered to fellow citizens experiencing homelessness in Skopje, in partnership with the ‘Vistinski dela na ljubeznost’ initiative.
Knitted blankets for supported living units in Veles
Throughout 2021, we made unique blankets pieced together from knitted squares, which were donated to the supported living unit in Veles. This initiative was carried out as part of the project ‘Together for More Opportunities and Support – TIMOR’.
Our beginnings in 2018
Photos from our very first meetup on World Wide Knit in Public Day on June 9, 2018, held at the rock bar ‘Garson Bar’ in central Skopje. This milestone event brought us together and marked the beginning of our community. The event was organized by Aleksandra Stefanovska (group founder) and Cvete Mitkovska. Gordana Nikolova joined our organizing committee in 2019.
